What This Tool Does
This batch file prints drive free-space information and counts file entries under C:\Windows, C:\Users, and C:\Program Files. It does not calculate folder sizes, identify the largest files, create a report file, or draw a treemap.
Before You Run It
The scan reads directory listings and may take time on a large drive. It does not delete or modify files. It only examines the listed C: folders; it does not analyze other drives.
Run It
- Download the
.batfile. - Double-click it to display the console output.
- Read the file counts as counts only, not as storage usage.
- Press a key to close the window.
Finding Actual Space Usage
Use Windows Settings > System > Storage or a disk-usage tool that reports folder sizes. Review the exact path and owner before deleting anything. Do not remove Windows, Program Files, or AppData files just because they appear large. Back up important files first.
