What This Script Does
After you choose Y, it runs ipconfig /flushdns. This clears the local DNS lookup cache only. It does not release or renew your IP address, reset Winsock, reset a network adapter, remove saved Wi-Fi networks, or change firewall, VPN, or proxy settings.
Run It
- Save your work and download the
.batfile. - Double-click it.
- Read the notice; enter Y to continue or N to cancel.
- If Windows reports that permission is required, close the script and run it only if you understand the request.
When to Stop
Clearing DNS may not help if the issue is with Wi-Fi, a router, VPN, proxy, or internet service. Do not use network-reset commands during a remote support session unless the technician has explained the disconnection risk.
For other network changes, note existing custom DNS, proxy, and VPN settings first so you can restore them. If you are unsure, use AmanaTech Services before making changes.
